I created a tool...

Sometimes you can't get what you want off the shelf. I love boats and being on the water, but the flip-side is maintance.

On older boats it's not like a car where everything is standarised. I had to replace a nut in my engine. It turned out that the nut was no longer made.

I was able to get someone to make a 'modern' replacement, that turned out to be a sightly larger size - which then required me to make a special tool to install it. After a lot of frustration, toil and effort, everything eventually came back together.

I reflected that this a bit like the separation journey. We are all unique, and our views could have been shaped many years ago. We are changed through the process of relationships.

When the time comes to end those relationships (or significantly alter them through seperation), we have to create the tools within us to be able to solve the issues that are unique to us and those we were (are) in relationship with.

It is up to each of us to find the right solution at the right time for the right situation. It helps to have guidance and help along this journey - such as a divorce and separation coach like me.
